Collection consists of microfilm copies of various clippings from newspapers, magazines, professional and trade journals, fliers, brochures, books, etc. pertaining to the life and inventions of Nathan B. Stubblefield, mostly on his work on the wireless telephone. The collection also includes typewritten, undated essays by various authors, including L.J. Hortin; letters from various libraries describing collections of papers relating to Mr. Stubblefield; family history information concerning the Stubblefield family; photographs of the Stubblefield family; a program from the music drama called "The Stubblefield Story" and photographs of the actors; handwritten notes; letters to and from various Stubblefield family members; a transcript of a dramatic radio show program called "Builders of Destiny" dated 1948 about Mr. Stubblefield's invention; and various other items. Other related items include letters concerning the Nathan B. Stubblefield Foundation, a memorial, and the WNBS radio station which was named after Nathan B. Stubblefield, as well as notes from an interview by Hortin with two of Stubblefield's daughters, and several books written about Mr. Stubblefield.

Nathan Bowman Stubblefield was an American inventor from Murray, Kentucky during the latter part of the 19th Century and early part of the 20th Century. He was born at Murray on November 22, 1860.
